The S2000 was introduced at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show and went on sale in April 1999. The S2000 was powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four engine that was capable of revving up to a dizzying 9,000 RPM and producing 247 horsepower.
Over the course of its production run, the S2000 received several updates and improvements, including a more powerful engine, a revised suspension, and a restyled exterior. It remained a popular choice for sports car enthusiasts until its discontinuation in 2009.
