These Are the Best Wheels for The Mazdaspeed 3

There are so many different Mazdaspeed 3 wheels available that it can be difficult to find the right fit. So, we’ve compiled a list that combines stunning looks with great performance.

Investing in a new set of wheels can not only totally transform the aesthetics of your Mazdaspeed 3, but it is also an excellent way to improve performance. Just reducing the weight of the wheels by a few pounds or kilograms could prove to boost the performance quite significantly, such as increased grip and handling.

XXR 527

The XXR 527 is an excellent choice for the Mazdaspeed 3. The multi-spoke concave design allows for a lightweight and rigid composition all while looking fantastic.

Design and Weight

The design of the XXR 527 is designed to allow for larger brake-kit installations. So, if you ever consider upgrading your brakes but is afraid that they will not clear the wheels, then the XXR 527 is a very solid choice.

The ten-spoke design also complements the Mazdaspeed 3 extremely well and is considered a good fit whether you’re viewing them as a performance wheel. It is also a very suitable wheel for stance builds as the XXR 527 is available in a very wide format.

The XXR 527 weighs between 16 lbs. to 32 lbs. depending on size and width.

Colors

There is a large variety of finishes available with the XXR 527, such as:

  • Flat Black
  • Chromium Black
  • Gold
  • Green
  • Orange
  • Hyperblack
  • Purple

You’re likely to find a finish that suits your style and build.

Sizes

The XXR 527 comes available with sizes varying between 15” to 19” and widths starting from 8” all the way to 9.75”.

Price

The XXR 557 is an excellent budget wheel that provides great looks and good performance for a very reasonable price.

Prices start from as low as $150 for the smallest wheel and top out at around $220 per wheel.

Aodhan DS02

The Aodhan DS02, a favorite choice among Mazdaspeed 3 models, features a magnificent deep-dish lip and a sophisticated twin, five-spoke design.

Design and Weight

The Aodhan DS02 is a popular choice among many car brands and cultures, and it is no exception when it comes to the Mazdaspeed 3. The twin five-spoke designs blend in with the Mazdaspeed design really well. And the design does work well both as a wheel to use on the track, as well as a car show wheel.

Colors

The DS02 is available in various different types of finishes such as:

  • Chrome
  • White
  • Grey
  • Black
  • Black Chrome
  • Gold
  • Gold Chrome
  • Silver
  • Bronze

Sizes

Sizes start at 18” but can also be had in 19”. The width starts from 8.5” and goes up to 11”.

Price

The Aodhan DS02 is a very affordable wheel and depending on the size and color choice can be had as slow as $200 to $325 a wheel.

Avid1 AV6

This Avid1 AV6 wheel has become a common JDM wheel for hatchbacks and wagons, including the Mazdaspeed 3, and rightfully so. The Avid1 AV6 offers a stunning 6-spoke design that screams JDM, and at a fraction of the price of some of its competitors, such as the TE37s.

Design and Weight

The AV6 design is elegant and timeless, the 6-spoke design screams JDM and provides a more prominent stance than some of the other multi-spoke designs out there.

The AV6 is utilizing a one-piece design and is cast with aluminum. In spite of being a fully cast wheel, the AV6 is still considered relatively light

Colors

The color options for the AV6 vary between:

  • Blue
  • White
  • Gloss Black
  • Bronze
  • Hyperblack
  • Black

Sizes

The AV6 is limited to a 17”x8 and 18”x8 design with offsets ranging from +18mm to +42mm which makes it an exemplary choice for the Mazdaspeed 3.

Price

The great thing with the AV6 is the availability. You can order these wheels and have them in a couple of weeks, in comparison to some TE37s that can take a long time to arrive.

But perhaps the greatest thing of all is the price. The AV6 can be had for around $200 a wheel which makes them great value for money, not everyone wants to spend $3,000-$5,000 on a set of TE37s.

WEDS Kränze Cerberus II

The Weds Cerberus is perhaps the wheel that stands out the most on this list, and you might be able to tell just from the looks alone.

Design and Weight

The design is what matters with the WEDS Cerberus II which is part of WEDS ‘Kränze’ series and is more suited to ‘luxurious’ or ‘VIP’ cars with its deep-dish design. But somehow, they ended up becoming a surprisingly good fit for the Mazdaspeed 3. If you’re considering a stance build or installing air suspension the WEDS Cerberus is certainly a wheel to take into consideration.

Since the Weds Cerberus are no longer in production there are no real good reliable sources on its weight. But it is safe to say they are on the heavier side.

Colors

The Weds Cerberus II is very limited in terms of colors. But common colors which you can find used are:

  • Chrome
  • White
  • Gold
  • Black
  • Grey

Sizes

As the Cerberus II are mostly used for stance cars and larger saloon cars, they start at 18” and go up all the way to 22”.

Price

The price varies quite significantly and depends mostly on condition. On the low end, a rough set will set you back around $1,200 while in pristine condition may cost you up to $3,000 a set.

ESR SR09

One of our favorites, the ESR SR09 completely transforms the look of the Mazdaspeed 3. This is the wheel for the person looking for a unique and fresh look, and that is exactly what the SR09 offers.

Design and Weight

Just like the Weds Cerberus II the ESR SR09 is all about the design. The SR09 is made through a one-piece design and is created using a high-quality, low-pressure casting process which makes them very strong and durable.

The design itself is one of the most unique on the market with its 10-spoke design and metal rivets. And if you think they look good in a picture, we assure you, they look even better in real life.

The ESR SR09 weighs in at around 29 lbs, so they are not particularly light. But they a very strong and rigid and makes for an excellent daily-drivers wheel.

Colors

The color choices are quite limited and since they have become discontinued the supply will not get any larger. These are the colors which you can find used:

  • Hypersilver
  • White
  • Black Chrome
  • Black
  • Gold Chrome

Sizes

The ESR SR09 can be found in either 18” or 19” with the width starting at 8.5” and going all the way up to 10.5”. Wheel offset varies from 22mm, 30mm, and 35mm.

Price

Despite its unique look and high quality, the SR09 can still be had for relatively cheap.

Expect to pay around $300 per wheel.
